Door-to-Door Waste Collection Tracking & Monitoring System

A QR and cloud-based platform for recording household waste collection by location, time and collection status.

Mr. B. N. RaoWorking monitoring system2024–25
Project overview

From identified need to working solution

The project develops a system for tracking day-to-day waste collection from homes. It provides a complete data picture of the collection vehicle, household participation, location, time and collection status.

The problem statement is linked to the Swachh Bharat Mission and the need to maintain sanitation levels in streets and communities. Digitally recording the number of households covered and the quantity and type of waste generated supports accountability and planning.

A QR code is assigned to every house. When the collection agent scans it using an Android application, the system records the time and location in a cloud database. A web application and graphical dashboard support easy daily monitoring.
