Long-Range Portable Wireless Audio Device

A portable 2.4 GHz system for converting professional wired audio devices into long-range wireless devices.

Mr. Sharath VedalaPrototype ready2024–25
Project overview

From identified need to working solution

The project converts a wired audio device into a wireless audio device. Professional microphones using a standard 3-pin male XLR output can be made wireless by adding a suitable transmitter and receiver.

The design considers body-pack, desktop and plug-on transmitter forms, along with the different power requirements of dynamic and condenser microphones.

Key features include a 2.4 GHz link designed for up to about 150 feet indoors and 300 feet outdoors, a 2600 mAh battery pack with an XL6009 boost converter, compatibility with microphones, instruments, mixers and amplifier systems, and automatic gain control for low-noise, low-delay transmission.
